on feb. 7, longyuan power’s first overseas wind power project -- 100,000 kilowatts wind farm in dufferin county, canada witnessed the completion of lifting & installation of its first wtg in severe cold and heavy snowfall. and the engineering construction is progressing steadily.
this project is longyuan power’s first overseas infrastructure project, wherein the infrastructural construction period was in winter, people met the coldest winter over the past dozen years in ontario and were often caught in snowstorms, thus the construction environment is harsh. longyuan (canada) renewable energy co., ltd. actively coped with various difficulties, established the ‘trinity’ management system, and developed detailed regulations such as quality control, safety management, schedule control, etc., so as to ensure project construction quality and speed. currently there are eight work teams, totalling about 200 people on the project site every day to fully carry out the infrastructure work.
the wind farm in dufferin county, canada is located in merlin eriksson town, ontario, canada, with a total installed capacity of 100,000 kilowatts and 49 generating sets in total. this project enjoys a 20-year long-term preferential tariff granted by the local government, the investment is relatively stable, and the rate of return on investment is better. under the vigorous guidance and support of china guodian corporation, longyuan power has tackled tough and made meticulous preparations, after more than two years of unremitting efforts, the project has passed a series of strict approval procedures of the national development and reform commission (ndrc) as well as ontario ministry of environment, electricity board, power authority and other government departments in ontario, and the construction is smoothly carried out.
