on november 28, huang qun, secretary of party leadership group of china longyuan power met with liang jianyong, secretary of putian municipal committee and weng yuyao, mayor of putian municipal people’s government in fujian province. the two sides had a discussion and reached extensive consensus on accelerating the cooperation in offshore wind power, promoting marine farm construction and building a long-term mechanism for new energy development.
liang pointed out that, putian city has established the cooperative relationship of mutual trust and mutual benefit with china longyuan power in the long-term new energy development, which has brought significant economic benefit and social benefit. liang stated that since november 2012 when the two sides signed the strategic cooperation framework agreement, china longyuan power has made great progress in accelerating the preliminary work of nanri offshore windpower, especially the cooperative development of offshore wind power and marine farm, which has solved the long-standing problem that coastal areas are developed at the cost of vital interests to the work site of fishermen. the implementation of marine farm realizes cultivated sea for fishermen and paves a harmonious and win-win road for new energy development and coastal fishermen. putian municipal party committee and municipal government are ready to join china longyuan power to accelerate the construction of offshore wind power and marine farm, establish a new development pattern that “prevails on the western side of the taiwan straits” for nanri marine economic development, and build offshore wind power and marine farm into a “gold card” for putian city.
huang showed his gratitude for the consistent support of putian municipal party committee and municipal government for china longyuan power’s investment and development. huang also stated that, china longyuan power will increase investment in putian and strive to promote higher level of cooperation between the two sides in a wider range of fields. china longyuan power will continuously give play to its leading advantages in new energy field, spare no effort to advance the construction of nanri offshore wind power projects, and build it into a world’s leading offshore wind farm within two years. meanwhile, china longyuan power will strengthen effective connection between offshore wind power and marine farm and thus realize win-win development of the two.
accompanied by chen zhiqiang, deputy mayor of putian city, huang also conducted a survey on shicheng fishing wharf in xiuyu district during his stay. shicheng fishing wharf is about 15 kilometers from the construction site of nanri offshore project and has provided important supporting facilities for the construction of the project. it has about 130 meters of 3,000-ton frontage and nearly 20 thousand square meters of land area with advantageous geographical location and facilities condition which can fully satisfy the need for the implementation of the project.
