chen feihu gains a better understanding of the wind power development and management in china longyuan
on october 16, chen feihu, director, president and member of the party leadership group of china guodian corporation, went to longyuan rudong offshore wind farm for an investigation, accompanied by huang qun, secretary of the party leadership group, and fei zhi, vice-president of china longyuan power.
boarding the “longzhen no. 1”, a vessel purposely built for the installation of offshore wind farm by china longyuan power, chen inspected the offshore wind powerconstruction equipment and had a detailed knowledge of the offshore wind power construction technology. during the inspection, mr. chen debriefed the china longyuan power, jiangsu longyuan offshore wind power co., ltd., longyuan jiangsu company and jiangyin sulong power company, and gained a better understanding of the wind power development and management in china longyuan power and the progresses and preliminary work of relevant projects. president chen fully affirmed the achievements that china longyuan power has got in developing offshore wind power in jiangsu province and its leading role as the core brand in the domestic wind power sector. the offshore wind power, which represents an important development direction of the wind power industry, has been put high on the agenda of new energy development in china guodian corporation in the years to come and the corporation will as always vigorously support the offshore wind power development, added he.
after the briefing, chen feihu put forward three proposals: first, greater efforts should be made to promote the preliminary work. as the wind power development, both offshore and onshore, will be confronted with even more severe competition in the future, to better meet the requirements of enterprise development, greater efforts should be made to facilitate the preliminary work in an effective, innovative and environmental-friendly manner so as to pave the way for the development of follow-up projects; second, hard work should be done to give full play to the advantages and role of the core platform of china longyuan power. the corporation will build a few wind power development core platforms in the future. china longyuan power should play a bigger role in this regard and propagate the work experience of wind power development within the corporation; and third, strengthened efforts should be made to quicken the pace of wind power development in the key coastal areas. the dafeng 200,000 kw offshore wind power concession project will start construction in 2014. china longyuan power should gain more experiences in offshore equipment and plant model selection and define its leading direction of development; more efforts should be made to further intensify the technological innovation in order to provide strong technical support for the offshore wind power development; moreover, efforts should also be made to further promote the strategy of “ going out” and strengthen the exchange and cooperation with the european countries so as to create favorable conditions for china longyuan power to expand the offshore wind power market internationally.
furthermore, chen feihu also had three specific requirements for the company’s work in the next stage: first, efforts should be made to further strengthen the safety management and improve the equipment dependability; second, as the wind power stations are usually widely scattered, work should be done to further optimize the layout and accelerate the research and development of centralized monitoring system to improve the economic performance; and third, china longyuan power should help the corporation accumulate the professional management experience in wind power, further enhance the efficiency, put relevant systems in place as soon as possible, and facilitate the development and construction of wind power farms in a standardized and programmed fashion.
