on september 5, the first national skill competition of wind power operation and check was successfully concluded in zhangjiakou, hebei. this competition was hosted by china energy and chemistry trade union, undertaken by china guodian corporation and co-organized by china longyuan power. li shiming, member of party leadership group and director of fund examination committee of the all-china federation of trade unions attended the competition and made a conclusion. guo ruiting, member of party leardership group and discipline inspection group leader of china guodian corporation attended the competition and made a speech. huang qun, secretary of party leadership group, and he shen, discipline inspection group leader and chairman of the labor union of china longyuan power attended the competition.
the competition is the first national skill contest for wind power staff and is a comprehensive review of post training of the national wind power industry. the competition was held in hebei qilinshan wind farm of china longyuan power. a total of 93 players of 31 teams from five power generation corporations and china three gorges corporation participated in the competition, which was divided into theory test and actual operation. it mainly inspected the players’ mastery of the safety, operation and maintenance of wind farm and the practical ability of site operation, equipment inspection and fault handling. china longyuan power meticulously organized the competition, adopted such methods as closed proposition, on-site draw, flow process correcting, player numbering, identifying
after two days of intense competition and strict review of the judging panel, 6 teams of china guodian corporation swept the top six of the team competition of which china longyuan power won first prize while the other three teams of the company won second prize. as for individual awards, china guodian corporation with the main force of china longyuan power swept the top eighteen in the individual competition of which wang jianguo from china longyuan power stood out above the rest and won first prize, and was recommended for the “national labor medal” while hu peng, tao gangzheng and feng jiangzhe from china longyuan power respectively won the second, third and fourth prize, and were recommended for the “labor medal of the national energy chemical systems”. this fully reflects solid basic quality and excellent work style of china longyuan power’s staff. the top twenty players were awarded the “technical expert of the national energy chemical systems”. in other awards, the working committees of the five power generation corporations and china three gorges corporation won the “outstanding organization award” while china guodian corporation won the “special award of merit” for successfully undertaking the competition.
at the closing ceremony, li shiming pointed out that operation and check is an important foundation work of wind power and will directly affect safety and benefit. the national major power groups jointly held the first skill competition of the industry, which provides a stage for wind power staff to improve skills and display their talent. for the next work, li shiming made five requests: first, strengthen and expand wind power industry by taking full advantage of the national wind power skill competition platform; second, extensively develop multi-level and multi-channel post trainings to create conditions for the emerging of high-skilled talents; third, earnestly sum up experience, expand professions and fields of the skill competition and build high quality brands; fourth, continue to extend organization work for the competition, fully strengthen technical exchange and popularization; fifth, each unit should continue to vigorously promote “three basics” work after the competition and mobilize all the staff to contribute their efforts to build a beautiful china.
guo ruiting showed his appreciation for the efforts of the relevant personnel and expressed congratulations to the winners. he pointed out that, the competition was a great success under the elaborate planning, careful arrangement and specific organization of the organizing committee and joint efforts of the participation units, players and referees. guo indicated that, the players were determined by the power generation corporations through step-by-step trainings and selections, so they are the backbone of the national operation and check staff of wind power industry. this competition not only cultivates and selects a group of technical experts with high skills and excellent work styles but also creates a good atmosphere that attaches importance to talents in the entire wind power industry. it will promote the talent quality and the core competitiveness of wind power industry and the sustained and healthy development of china’s wind power industry. guo also indicated that, motivated by the competition, china guodian corporation will continue to carry out post training activities, constantly improve staff quality and skill level and promote the sustained and healthy development of wind power industry.
