may 10, huang qun, secretary of party leadership group and vice president of china longyuan power, met cec guests led by its full-time consultant wang yonggan. both parties had amicable talks on development status of clean energy and enterprise “go global” overseas investment strategy.
huang qun expressed warm welcome to wang yonggan and his colleagues. he together with departmental principals introduced renewable energy overseas investment of the company. huang qun pointed out that, in renewable energy industry, longyuan was among the first enterprises deciding to “go global”, but we took each step very carefully. in 2009, the company made ipo on hong kong stock market successfully, creating a favorable platform for overseas investment. under the firm support of guodian corporation, the company began to plan and execute overseas investment strategies as early as 2009. we carefully selected some developed countries and regions as our key investment destinations which were stable in politics and economy, high in market-orientation, complete in legal systems. at present, the canadian 100mw wind power project purchased by the company in 2011 was now progressing well.
wang yonggan expressed his gratitude to the warm reception of china longyuan power, and introduced cec’s investigation on chinese enterprise “go global” investments up to the time of the meeting, and issues of clean energy expo china 2013. wang yonggan said cec had visited the state grid corporation of china, chnia southern power grid,china huadian corporation , china huaneng group, and china tree gorges corporation to make preliminary understanding and investigation on “go global” programs of chinese energy companies. cec suggested that an information sharing platform should be constructed for overseas investment of chinese enterprises, and hoped that china longyuan power would offer firm support to this investigation and construction of the platform. meanwhile, both parties also discussed some issues for clean energy expo china to be held in july 2013.
