recently, the ceremony of china longyuan power donating 4,500 solar flashlights for tibet was hosted in beijing. mao rubai, chairman of beijing aid-tibet association, yang haibin, member of the party leadership group and vice president of the china guodian corporation, huang qun, secretary of party leadership group of china longyuan power, representatives from longyuan tibet company and recipient units and other relevant persons attended the donation ceremony.
at present, in tibet, china longyuan power has had its yangbajing geothermal power generation demonstration project together with four photovoltaic power plants go into operation. its high-altitude test wind farm in nagqu and 60mw pv power station in shigatse are under construction. besides, it also holds responsible for constructing, operating, and maintaining the pv-user system and pv power stations in the areas having no access to electricity in tibet. these donated 4,500 solar flashlights are mainly used to help the grass-roots working teams better serve the villages inaccessible to electricity.
yang haibin pointed out in his speech that china guodian corporation would always follow a political, responsible, and devoted principle, actively push forward the energy development in tibet and the work of aiding tibet, spare no effort to maintain social stability in tibet and try its best to serve the tibetan people.
huang qun stated that china longyuan power would work harder to carry out the strategic energy cooperation agreement made between china guodian corporation and the government of tibet autonomous region, give full play to its advantages in new energy technology, management, capital and talent in a bid to make greater contributions to tibet’s new energy development. meanwhile, china longyuan power would always show concern and support for the public good, actively fulfill its corporate responsibility, and constantly promote social harmony.
