from the 24th to the 25th of july, china guodian corporation held its 2012 symposium on hydropower and new energies and this symposium was sponsored by china longyuan power group corporation limited. mr. qiao baoping, secretary of the party leadership group and vice president of china guodian corporation, attended the symposium and delivered an important speech. in addition, mr. mi shuhua, vice president and member of the party leadership group of china guodian corporation, also attended the symposium and gave a report on the development of hydropower and new energies. mr. huang qun, secretary of the party leadership group and vice president of china longyuan power also attended the symposium.
mr. qiao pointed out that the development strategy of deepening the transformation had put forward higher request to the development of china guodian corporation’s hydropower and new energies. therefore, we had to further consolidate our leading position in the area of wind power, greatly develop excellent hydropower and pay more attention to the development of new energies and relevant industries. in addition, on the basis of carefully analyzing and strictly carrying out the restrictive conditions of investment as well as sticking to the priority of benefits, we should give a further consideration of the long-term development and better plan the development of future hydropower and new energies.
mr. qiao put forward five requests on the work of next step: first, it is to clearly know the tendency and task as well as fortify the sense of responsibility of developing hydropower and new energies; second, it is to stick to the principle of giving priority to benefits and highlight focuses as well as unswervingly deepen the transformation of the enterprise; third, it is to study projects scientifically, carefully organize them and analyze their feasibility by strictly abiding by market request; fourth, it is to prevent risks, fortify management and carefully enforce the rules of china guodian corporation; finally, it is to intensify studies, make innovations and continually enhance the development quality of hydropower and new energies.
in his report, mr. mi reviewed the achievements that had been made by china guodian corporation in the area of hydropower and new energies as well as the current situation faced by the corporation. mr. mi said that the development of hydropower and new energies had optimized the china guodian corporation’s structure of power sources, promoted the rapid development of relevant industries as well as enhanced the comprehensive strength of the corporation. after the rapid development of many years, a summary on enterprise’s good development as follows had been made by the corporation: strategic planning ahead of the time is its fundamental; scientific preliminary reasoning is its prerequisite; good public relation is its guarantee and excellent team of staff is its basis. in view of the current situation of development, mr. mi said that after a comprehensive analysis of the complicated interior and exterior conditions, we found that china guodian corporation was confronted with many opportunities of developing hydropower and new energies as follows: first, to address the change of environment and climate, it is imperative to accelerate the development of hydropower and new energies; second, to ensure the security of energy supply, it is imperative to greatly develop hydropower and new energies; third, the rigid demand of power has provided a market space for the development of hydropower and new energies.
