on june 11, accompanied by the leading figures of the golmud municipal government, miao wei, minister of the ministry of industry and information technology (miit)and secretary of its party committee, paid an inspection visit to the longyuan golmud photovaltaic power station for a better understanding of the development and utilization of the solar energy in the local region.
miao wei in the company of the head of the golmud power station visited the photovoltaic dual-axis tracking system, single-axis tracking system and fixed formula array, and learnt about the power generation in different ways. when being told that the longyuan pv power station was the local earliest grid-connected plant and had become a model in solar resource utilization, miao said that longyuan power , a subsidiary of china guodian corporation which is one of the major five power generation groups in china, has strived to develop the new energy resources and taken full advantage of the redundant solar energy resources in qinghai province, making significant contribution to promoting the development of the local pv industry.
