on june 12, a videophone conference was held by all china federation of trade unions and state administration of work safety in beijing for a summary and commendation to the national “ankang cup” competition. vice chairman and the first secretary of secretariat of all china federation of trade unions wang yupu and bureau chief of state administration of work safety yang dongliang delivered addresses at the conference. china longyuan power won the title of excellent unit of 2011 national “ankang cup” labor emulation at this conference.
this emulation is an important way to promote the safety work of enterprises. highly stressing safety work, china longyuan power has promoted this labor emulation unremittingly and thoroughly. linking with the building of advanced corporate culture and staff culture, it has made full use of the important role of the staff in safety work so as to try its best to protect the safety and health of the staff. in the future, the company will fortify coordination and cooperation, continue to summarize experience, widen staff’s approach to participate in the supervision of safety work, take a clear stand so as to protect the safety and health of the staff and promote safety work more efficiently.
since the start of the emulation in 1999, the number of participating enterprises has reached 309,000, covering all state-owned enterprises. over 90,000,000 workers have participated in it and more than 12,000 units have been awarded with the title of excellent unit. resulted from the emulation, the incidence of occupational diseases of the participating enterprises has been evidently under control. the accident rate has been reduced by 20% in average and zero death has been especially realized in some high risk enterprises in coal industry, petrochemical industry and power industry. consequently this emulation has protected the health of the staff effectively. at present, the emulation has been listed in the “12th five-year plan” of the national safety production and in the evaluation of the responsibility system for safety production by governments at each level.
