  from aug. 30 to sept. 1, china guodian corporation’s 2011 skills competition on the operation and overhaul of wind power equipment was held in zhangjiakou, hebei province. this competition was organized by china longyuan power group corporation limited. yang haibin, deputy general manager and chief of the work committee of china guodian corporation, and wang xinchun, vice president of china energy and chemistry trade union, attended competition activities and delivered important speeches. xie changjun, general manager of china longyuan power, attended competition activities and introduced the company. leaders as follows also attended competition activities: xu yudong, chief of trade union section of mass work bureau of state-owned assets supervision and administration commission of the state council, chen naizhuo, standing deputy chief of china guodian corporation’s work committee, sun jinbiao, deputy chief of hr department of china guodian corporation, and he shen, chairman of the trade union of china longyuan power.

 

26  teams and 78 competitors from 6 subsidiaries of china guodian corporation participated in this skills competition. the competition was characterized by close association with reality, careful and precise organization, improved competition level, excellent competition performance and appearance of more talents. in addition to that, it reflected new energy development of the corporation, the development of the enterprise, the growth of employees as well as the spirit of being united, making continuous progress and pursuing excellent. by theory test and competition on the real operation of wind turbines and through the strict review of the competition committee, china longyuan power finally won top six prizes for group performance and top 20 prizes for individual performance, which fully showed the solid basic quality and excellent work style of china longyuan power’s employees. the winners of the top six group prizes are as follows: longyuan (beijing) wind power engineering technology co., ltd, zhejiang wind power co., ltd., longyuan jiantou wind power co., ltd. in weichang, hebei province, fujian wind power co., ltd., longyuan (shenyang) wind power co., ltd., longyuan (zhangjiakou) wind power co., ltd. the first prize winners for individual performance are as follows: tao gangzheng, longyuan (beijing) wind power engineering technology co., ltd., and zhang junhao and wu shengwu, zhejiang wind power co., ltd. meanwhile, they were presented with the title of “dab hand of central enterprises”. besides, china longyuan power was also presented with “contribution prize” for its active application, careful preparation and successful completion of this competition. three units as follows were awarded with excellent organization prizeinner mongolia new energy development co., ltd. of guodian power development co., ltd., guodian xinjiang ebinur drainage area development co., ltd., and chifeng wind power company of guodian technology & environment group co., ltd.

 

  at the closing ceremony, on behalf of china guodian corporation, yang haibin expressed his warm congratulations to the units and individuals that were presented with prizes in the competition. he pointed out that enterprise competition is not merely that of scale and speed. more important, it is the competition on quality, benefit, management and talent. in the final analysis, it is talent competition. it is imperative to regard the cultivation of a talent team with high quality and skills as a strategic task that should be done in time and excellently. yang haibin also put forward the following requirements: first, it is to pay close attention to the growth of talents with wind power skills; secondly, it is to continue to perfect the mechanism of training them; third, it is to try to lay a solid foundation of their development; finally, it is to give special care to their work and living.

 

  wang xinchun offered his congratulations upon the successful holding of skills competition. he said that for a long time china guodian corporation had stuck to the guiding principle of “liberate thinking, reform and innovate, scientifically develop and build harmony”. giving emphasis to the work and being active in action, the corporation greatly strengthened the construction of employee quality project and tried its best to enhance employee’s professional skills and comprehensive quality. therefore, it had trained a talent team with high quality which is sufficient in quantity, reasonable in structure and excellent in work style. as a result, it had played an important role in promoting the enterprise to develop well and rapidly. meanwhile, he hoped that china guodian corporation could make care summary of the experience gained in this competition and attract more employees to this activity through this form. the corporation should build a good atmosphere of learning technique, practicing skills and improving qualities so as to provide talent support for the nice and rapid development of the enterprise.

 

  xu yudong, chief of trade union section of mass work bureau of the state-owned assets supervision and administration commission of the state council, announced the decision on commending this competition at the closing ceremony. he said that state-owned assets supervision and administration commission of the state council gave high emphasis on the training of talents with skills in the central enterprises. china guodian corporation ranked among the top both in the quantity of job types and the scale of employee participation. he hoped that concentrating closely on the central task of enterprise production and operation, the trading union of the corporation could play its full function of serving and educating employees. through wide implementation of occupational skill competition, it could spare no efforts in the construction of employee team with “four leading aspects”, namely “leading occupational quality, leading business skills, leading work style and leading post performance.”

 

  while attending competition activities, yang haibin and his followers inspected longyuan (zhangjiakou) qilinshan wind farm. he gave guidance and expressed his best regards to the competition team that were engaged in real field operations. he asked in detail the topics and defect-eliminating tasks of the competitors and highly recognized their prudent professional spirit. he encouraged them to work at the root and temper their skills so as to make untiring efforts to realize the corporation’s objective that was to grow into a comprehensive power group. he fully recognized the organization of this competition. in the central control room, he carefully learned information about the wind farm’s generation, investment scale and production. he also watched the process of real operation competition through the safe production monitoring system.

 

  in the meeting room of the wind farm, xie changjun reported to yang haibin and his followers the basic conditions of china longyuan power. he said that under the leadership of the party leadership group and the board of directors of china guodian corporation, china longyuan power had maintained good development and gained prominent achievements. he introduced that the total generation of the company in the first half of 2011 was 129.87 billion mw, among which that of wind power was 70.69 billion mw with the total profit of 1.993 billion yuan. among them the net profit attributable to the equity shareholders was 1.412 billion yuan with a half-on-half increase of 66.5%. facing the new trend, tasks and requirements, the company would be united as one, pragmatic and make audacious innovations so as to try to make more contributions to the objective of china guodian corporation that was to build a world leading comprehensive power group.

 

  after hearing his report, yang haibin said that china longyuan power took the leading position in both the construction of infrastructure and the training of talent team in guodian system. he hoped that the company could seize the opportunity, fortify shift-group construction and continue to make efforts to take the leading position in china’s wind power industry so as to make more contributions to the strategic transformation of china guodian corporation. at the same time, wang xinchun said that china longyuan power had made prominent achievements in the organization construction of the trade union. he hoped that the company could carry on its two features, namely “trade unions had been set up widely and most employees had joined in the trade union”. therefore, joint development of the enterprise and employees could be realized.
