on aug. 22, zhang yuan, deputy gm of china longyuan power met with liu jian, chief of the regulatory commission of tianjin harbor economic area, and chen jijun, deputy chief of the commission in beijing and both sides signed the strategic cooperation agreement of new energy.
zhang yuan extended his welcome to liu jian and chen jijun. zhang yuan said that it was longyuan’s important strategic deployment to greatly develop the offshore wind power. this cooperation is a rare opportunity for both sides and longyuan was confident to do a good work of wind power development in tianjin harbor economic area. zhang yuan expressed that this interview had effectively set up the communication mechanism and he also hoped that both sides could take this opportunity to deepen the cooperation.
chen jijun thanked for longyuan’s support. he introduced that tianjin harbor economic area was situated in the downstream of many rivers. therefore, using river channels and banks to develop wind power projects, we can effectively optimize resource allocation. he said that china longyuan power was the new energy enterprise, ranking first in asia and third in the world. he believed that with longyuan’s superb technology and innovative sense, the cooperation would have a broad prospect.
offshore wind power is an important strategic direction of wind power development in the future. on sept. 28, 2010, the construction of rudong 30mw intertidal pilot wind farm was completed and launched into production, which is a breakthrough of global offshore (intertidal) wind farm. on june 21, 2011, the construction of rudong 150mw demonstration offshore (intertidal) wind farm was officially started, indicating that the beginning of large-scale development of china’s offshore wind power. the signing of this strategic agreement would play an active role in the diversified deployment of longyuan’s offshore wind power in the future.
