on july 25, huang qun, secretary of the party leadership group of longyuan power group co. ltd met with xu chunfu, member of the standing committee of the cpc dezhou municipal committee and executive vice mayor, and signed 500mw wind power development agreement, which was the development agreement with the largest capacity executed by longyuan power in shandong.
shandong has broad areas and advanced economy, and thus has a high demand for power load. located in the coastal area of east china, shandong has great wind power density and thus has a large potential to develop wind power. meanwhile, shandong has strong power grid, and thus there are no such problems as grid connection and accommodation that restrict the wind power development. therefore, shandong is the province that earliest developed wind power in the country and one of eight ten-million-kilowatt wind power bases planned by the national energy bureau.
at present, shandong provincial government is strengthening the offshore wind power development through policies.
in 2011, after research, longyuan power established the 2nd construction preparation office of longyuan shandong wind power project, which has complementary advantages with longyuan binzhou wind power co., ltd, effectively promoting the wind power development of in shandong. since 2011, longyuan power has added wind power reserves up to 1200 mw in shandong.
