on july 13, shi yubo, vice president of state electricity regulatory commission, and his followers came to longyuan qilinshan wind farm to make a special inspection and better know the current status of grid connection and safety operation of wind power. huang qun, secretary of the party leadership group and deputy gm of china longyuan power, accompanied him during the visit.
the inspection group checked the operation of wind turbines in the central control room in detail, inquired about the present status of wind farm’s operation and management as well as its safety monitoring measures. meanwhile, he personally went into the 3mw experimental wind turbine to check the tower, fans and operation platform of the wind turbines. after hearing the work report on the safety operation of wind farm delivered by longyuan zhangjiakou wind power co. ltd., he fully recognized the effort on maintaining the safety of power grid made by china longyuan power and its zhangjiakou company.
he pointed out that since this year, large-scale grid dropout accidents had occurred several times, which severely influenced the safe and stable operation of our electricity system. this inspection is to fortify the safety regulation of wind power, avoid grid dropout accident of wind power as well as promote the sound and fast development of wind power. he said that as the earliest power enterprise engaging in the wind power development in domestic china, china longyuan power had always maintained its leading position in domestic wind power industry and contributed greatly to the safe and stable development of wind power.
he emphasized the following aspects: first, in developing wind power, china longyuan power should combine closely power grid planning with the schedule so as to make good use of wind resources instead of discarding them; second, after the grid connection of wind farms, the company should ensure their safe and stable operation so as to avoid large-scale grid dropout accidents due to the fault of wind turbines; the company should also strengthen technical renovation, especially the test on the function of low-voltage ride through so as to reduce the grid dropout accidents of wind turbines due to the lowering of grid electricity pressure.
he hoped that while accelerating the development of wind power, china longyuan power could continue maintaining its leading position in the fields of technology and management so as to build a world-class listing company of new energy steadily.
