from july 19, 2010 to july 20, 2010, china longyuan power held a meeting in harbin to analyze its economic activities during the first half of 2010 so as to summarize the company’s economic undertakings during the first half of 2010, analyze the situation to face up with at present, and deploy key tasks during the second half of 2010. mr. xie changjun, general manager of china longyuan power, attended the meeting and delivered an important speech. tian shaolin, a deputy director of department of corporate management and legal affairs, china guodian corporation, li hongmei and fei zhi, both members of china longyuan power’s senior management, were also present at the meeting.
xie changjun pointed out that during the firs half of 2010, china longyuan power’s business was generally favorable and presented major features as follows: the overall business was steady while economic benefits improved steadily; it is expected that annual objectives could be realized as thermal power projects’ capability to resist risks has been reinforced; as the scale of wind power business has developed, profit margins have been obviously expanded; the system of technical service has gradually become consummate, and the sector’s benefits have remarkably increased; financial expenses have been cut down by large margins, actual effects have been obtained from cost control; problems in wind power integration and power brownouts are becoming increasingly severe; risks in wind power business are gradually increasing; it becomes more and more difficult to get projects ratified; and the competitive situation in the market is more severe.
key tasks during the second half of 2010 were deployed on the meeting. xie changjun emphasized that for the next step, the following aspects shall be well grasped: firstly, make every effort to promote the growth of wind power electric quantity and lay emphasis on getting the issue of electricity spent on infrastructure construction well solved; secondly, get the issue of electricity price and the issue of electricity charge well done and make efforts to increase incomes and make more profits; thirdly, strengthen management over funds and budgets, and cut down financing costs and the debt-to-asset ratio; fourthly, pay particular attention to business strategies, enhance the initiative awareness and innovation capability during work; fifthly, consummate the evaluation system and bring into full the prize mechanism’s incentive function; sixthly, strengthen the construction of corporate culture and make every effort to build up the brand of “longyuan wind power”.
